I’ve been trying to find a variety of brands to try out and recommend. This one looked good during a brief glance in the store. But when I got it home I saw what I’d missed. Sodium hydroxide. Do you see it lurking there? It starts on the fifth line, but it’s broken up and finishes on the sixth line. If you are skimming in a hurry, it’s easy to miss. I’m sure it’s in there just to balance the pH. But I just can’t.
The products (especially conditioners) I recommend here are extra special. The conditioners not only comb wonderfully curly locks, but can be left on to keep them nice and clumped and to give them a little weight. Not any old conditioner will do this. And not all ingredients are ones I feel comfortable leaving in our hair. It has nothing to do with price, just ingredients. And if there’s an ingredient I don’t feel comfortable with, I just don’t want to put it on my hair. I don’t want to risk it. And this product is one of those.
