Update 10/16/2016: I wanted to try this product, to the point I even bought it. In fact, I’d even skimmed over the ingredients in the store before I bought it. And I missed it. The first ingredient. Mango fruit extract. Mango fruit is really acidic. I once used a conditioner with acidic ingredients like citrus and mango high up on the ingredients list (near the middle), and it really dried out my hair. So because of this, I don’t feel comfortable trying this, so I’m going to say I don’t recommend it. But I will keep looking for other Kinky-Curly products to try out.

Original Post 9/10/2015: I’m hoping this conditioner/ detangler will have enough substance to keep my curls nicely weighed down, and it sounds like they mean it to be nice and slippery, so I’m really curious about trying this in a couple weeks (I’m trying out a shampoo this week). However, I’m not so sure about the Kinky-Curly Knot Today shampoo. I have to research it a bit more, but it may have a really drying ingredient (C14-16 olefin sulfonate). I have to put the caution here in the conditioner page because I know if I recommend a conditioner to my mom, next time I see her, she’ll have bought both the conditioner and the shampoo. Which most of the time is fine, but if a shampoo has a really bad ingredient, that’s not so good. Not that you’d do that of course, but I wanted to be on the safe side.
