First, I’m just going to admit the obvious out loud. I’m absolutely dreadful writing frequent posts. And after thinking about it for a long while, I’m going to change how I post about conditioners. I’m just going to post the conditioners I use and love. These are the reasons:
When I was moving from our house to a condo across the country, I had to get rid of A LOT of things. And in doing so, I had to face the two huge tubs of products I’d been buying to try and review over the years. There were hundreds of bottles. Many only used one time. Almost all of them (after checking out all the ingredients) I would use once, enough for a review of it, and with relief go back to the conditioners I loved. And after having to get rid of all those nearly new bottles of conditioner, I didn’t want to have to go through that again. It took up a lot of room. Room in space, money, time, and psychically—it caused a lot of guilt (I should be reviewing more products).
From those hundreds of bottles I gave away or threw away when I moved, I brought one untried conditioner with me. I’d just gotten it before the move and I still wanted to try out for this page. It was one of those “I really should try this one” conditioners I’d been sort of avoiding before I moved. So I brought it with me and put it on my shelf to try out soon. That was two years ago. It still sits on my shelf today. Every time I look at it, my heart sinks just a teeny bit. I can’t make myself try it out. I just don’t want to. I have conditioners I love, and at the end of the day I really do just want to comb my hair and move on with my evening.
Also, I don’t have that much room any more for dozens and dozens of product bottles sitting around waiting for me to review once, and then set aside. I’m trying to streamline my products so I’m only using a couple in rotation at a time. And to be honest, I didn’t like trying lots of new products. I just wanted a couple really good conditioners, and I was happy with that. I’m not a product junkie. I don’t really like spending that much time thinking about my hair. All I ever wanted was to figure my hair out so it wasn’t a big deal any more and I could get on with my life. Plus, like I said—and is pretty glaringly obvious—I’m just awful keeping up with posting.
So all that being said, what I will do is when I find products I love, that I use every time I do my hair, that I look forward to using, that make my life so much easier, that I recommend to my mom or anyone who asks me, I’ll post them here.
With that being said, here is the conditioner I think I now love most in the world: Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Smooth & Sleek Daily Conditioner.
It’s cut my combing time down to, like, maybe a third of the time it used to take. It’s crazy. When I had my mom try it, she’d gone a couple weeks without having had a chance to comb her hair. And on top of that, she decided to dye it before combing it. But she used this conditioner and when she was done, she looked up at me stunned at how quickly she’d gotten through her hair.
I am now using this product as the yardstick to measure the ingredients of any other conditioner. If you have to get through some major tangles, or just want to get through your hair easily, try this conditioner.
